The main crops AJD Agro Ltd. grows and produces are:
Currently the company cultivates more than 4000 hectares, across 12 villages in the Lovech region and constantly investing in arable land. Half of this land ( 2000 hectares ) is cultivated alfalfa and the other half is occupied by grains and oilseeds.
The crops are grown locally on AJD’s family farm, allowing complete control and daily management of the sowing, growth and harvesting. It all starts with the land. This is where the company sources all its produce.
The land of the company is situated in Central Northern Bulgaria, where the soil and the climatic conditions are perfectly suited for alfalfa and the other crops.
That is a given. However, to produce high quality alfalfa that alone is not enough. This is why the company relies on the experienced team of expert agronomists and the latest high - end agricultural machinery to achieve excellent results on the field with no or minimum loss.
By harvesting the alfalfa during its optimum stage of growth and dehydrating it AJD Agro Ltd. is able to keep in all the protein and fibres and guarantee constant quality of the end product.
Additionally, more crops are about to be added to the company’s portfolio in the very near future – dehydrated corn silage, oaten hay, ryegrass, etc.
